Turnip Tuesday: Timbaland – “We Belong To The Music” (Ft. Miley Cyrus)

Full Disclosure: I don’t. Well, not a brand new one, at least. I’m on the same ol two step…wit a lil twist. It’s really just faster… TURN UP, MILEY!

Turnip Tuesday: Pusha T – “Got Em Cover” (Produced by Timbaland)

It’s no secret we’re unreasonably big fans of Pusha Ton around these parts. In fact, looking back this half year of a blog we got – Pusha T is the most featured artist in the music section (between solo and Clipse work). When he gets our in house favorite producer – Timbaland – on the beat, our hands are pretty much tied…to the keyboard…to post yet ANOTHER Pusha T joint. PHUCK IT, WE GOT DEM DOPE JOINTS COVERED!

Humppday Hymn: LL Cool J – Feel The Beat

Those naked kick drums. Those two little notes. That’s so classic Timbaland, man! He could give you tunnel vision sounds with Timberlake or just 3-4 tracks on a loop, and you’ve still got a COMPLETE groove to work with, especially when you have an M.C. like Cool J just woppin the flow on it. This sounds so cheap but, expansive!

It wasn’t free, but don’t call it a robbery

FYFriday: Jojo – Lose Control (Ft. Timbaland)

Awww MAN! This is fitting for today for so many reasons! Friday, My Uncle Snoop once said “what’s the use of the truth if you can’t tell a lie sometimes?“. I can dig that. I feel what’s the use of sanity If you can’t lose ya mind sometimes, you know? Get carried away! Live today, sigh tomorrow… Then do it AGAIN! LOSE CONTROL!

Humpday Hymn: Muse – “Uprising”

“Drones” is the latest Muse album that just dropped this week. The drums on it are so perfectly mixed, sounding clean and full!  The closest Hip Hop has recently gotten that purity in drums is Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead”.  Really, the only producer with drums that rival rock’s in general is none other than the legendary Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley.  Feel free to checkout Justin Timberlake’s latest 20/20 album for that.
On This Humpday, we need the familiar clap and sing along cadances with a sticky hook, though. So RISE UP to this oldie-but-goldie!

Humpday Hymn: Chris Cornell – “Scream” (Ft. Timbaland)

If you’re a fan of Soundgarden, or Audioslave. Congratulations, I don’t care. You do have good taste, though so…go buy yourself a drink. Tell the bartender its on my tab.
My introduction to the demi-god voice of Chris Cornell was in his solo collabo with the Timbo the King. A stretch for both the rock legend, and producer of Aaliyah, Timbaland, and Ginuwine this is a seamless partnership.  Know how artists be like “you gotta here my album in its entirety, to get it blaaah, I’m so artsy(Mozart is meta as phuck)? Well HERE is ONE album where that LITERALLY applies. Like Dr. Dre, and Lil Jon, Timbaland started as a D.J., and this album transitions from cut-to-cut like one seamless set. As soon as wheels go up, its my go-to album when flying. SORRY STEWARDESS, don’t scream at me!
